THE HEARTBEAT OF TREES

One of the best way to look after your health is walking in the nature, breathe the fresh air & listen to the birds & bees. Even better is communicating with trees or bushes, because they have perfectly pure energy. As far as I've seen the auras of plants, the energy color has never been less than indigo, blue & purple, so it's a sign that the plants in our lives have brighter forms of energy that we do not reach so easily in everyday life. When you find a tree that internally is calling you, you can talk to him right away...
You probably cannot change your life & living just with positive thoughts but if you add a few trees to interact with, then you can make a difference.
Fortunately, modern science is catching up with the knowledge of our ancestors & research is now also being published.
A few years ago, Frontiers in Plant Science published a study that measured night-time motion of tree branches using 3D laser scans. On a large scale, three different night movements were found. The most exciting of these is the oscillatory movement of a small amplitude at intervals of 2-3 hours, which can be considered a "heartbeat" of a tree that pumps water through the body.
The fact that trees & plants are alive is not new knowledge. Although they do not walk or move like many other organisms, they do have their own set of organs, they grow & move & function as one whole organism. Moreover, there are indications that trees in the forest are "cooperating" with each other to form super organisms.
The circadian rhythms of plant leaves & twigs under light have been observed for some time, but the night-time, or nocturnal, movement of plants until this research was unexplored & undetected.
By mapping, measuring & studying with modern techniques, among other things, the night movement found something similar to people's heartbeat. That can significantly change the perception of disability.
In 2016, Hungarian & Danish researchers used high-resolution 3D laser scanning technology to capture & measure nocturnal movements of plants.
It turned out that trees move their branches & leaves even in the dark, when there is no ambient light & the tree "sleeps." Laser scans showed that all the trees studied moved at night.
There were several types of twig movements with different intervals & amplitudes, but the most exciting one is the oscillating movement of a few to three hours or shorter intervals, the amplitude of which is smaller than other guided movements - 0.5 - 1 cm.
Although a tree does not have a heart as such, researchers believe that it is this fixed movement that is sort of a pulse or "heartbeat" of a tree. On a human scale, the heart rate is very slow & the movement is not great, but it is still like a heartbeat.
Moving the tree branches up & down is not a reflection of a separate organ, like a heartbeat, but scientists believe that the movement is an indication that, even in trees, something is pumping up water from the roots.
In other words: This rhythm effectively performs essentially the same role as the heart of others - it maintains the rhythm & pumps fluids through the body like the heart blood.
So far, trees have been thought to move water through osmosis, but this discovery suggests something else. Anyway, it shows us that trees are much more complex systems than people have thought so far.
Does the existence of "heartbeats" also speak of "conscience" & some form of consciousness? Do heartbeats in trees cause people to look at trees with a different look?
Scientists have not only discovered heartbeats, but that trees move much more at night than they have done so far.
Today we know that trees sleep at night in the dark, they lower leaves & have their own circadian rhythms. We know that they communicate with each other & even react to the threats that lie ahead of them.
The fact that trees & plants also have a heartbeat with a similar heartbeat purpose makes the trees & plants even more mysterious than they used to be & it is clear that there are still many secrets hidden from humans.

  1. Walking in the woods or even a paved trail always calms me, soothes my soul. I've had connections with trees in the past and I'm intending to get back to being in nature once the weather permits. It is something I really enjoy doing.
