Our subconscious mind

Our brain can only consciously process about 3% of the information, a tiny fraction of total brain activity at any given moment. Our subconscious mind drives 97% of the human experience.
Our brain creates links with what we see, hear, feel, taste & smell, the majority of which stem from our early life experiences, primarily before the age of 7. During the first seven years of life, the brain is designed to download programs simply by observing other people, our parents, siblings & community. This occurs in a theta brain state which is a state of hypnosis because we develop the consciousness around age 7. The fundamental behaviors, beliefs & attitudes that we observe early in life become hardwired in our subconscious minds. Once programmed into the database of the unconscious, they control much of our life, including our biology, using images, feelings & metaphors to communicate emotions rather than logic or reason.
At first we should become aware of our subconscious thoughts & behaviors.
Meditation is a powerful tool to bring the subconscious into awareness. It aids in rewiring the brain’s circuits by increasing the amount of grey matter, which improves emotional regulation & impulse control, giving us more control over our subconscious behaviors & leading to better decision-making that aligns with our goals.
We can bring the subconscious into awareness & shift our habits through visualization, creating a new neural pathway that primes our body to act in a way consistent to what we imagined.
Use affirmations.
Sleep is essential to giving our minds & bodies the time to reset. The subconscious mind is more likely to repeat old patterns if it’s running on empty.

Tapping into the subconscious & rewiring neural pathways takes time. Change will not occur overnight.
